The begin
The project YOU'VE GOT A BAND is born in Rome, November 2005, when the band, firstly conceived to play dance-music, gets a meaningful switch of genre, thanks to a group's common passion for JAMES TAYLOR.
The band gets this way a different mark becoming in its concept a real tribute to JT, with the main purpose to re-create the sound of his evergreen music. Not least the need of everyone to improve from a technical point of view, constantly moved by a discography of undisputed musical insight.
So the band starts working on a repertoire collecting Taylor's most popular songs and all his greatest hits, from "Mexico" to "Carolina"...
After several changes in its original formation, YGB gets a final line-up:
Corrado Albensi (lead voice - acoustic guitar), Marco Cerquozzi (bass), Giorgio Messina (drums), Stefano Messina (guitars), Andrea Frascaroli (keyboards - back vocals), Gabriella Franceschini and Iole Palermo (back vocals)
After few weeks of trying hard in roman summer nights, the first live performance's coming for YGB in the charming scene of San Felice Circeo in August 2006.
The repertoire is subsequently rearranged and improved in order to increase the scenic and musical impact of YGB, and eventually underline technical skills of musicians and suggesting blend of vocal sessions.
Since October 2006 YGB's live performing in several famous clubs of Rome and surroundings.
And this is just the beginning ...
